Abstract
This report covers the technical evaluation of the NOMAD
platform. It covers the different components of the platform
namely the network aspects, i.e. mobile IP and IPv4/IPv6
aspects, the service repository and service configurator as
well as the PDA and mobile phone client applications. The
components have been benchmarked to evaluate their performance
and analyse the results to give an outlook for further
improvements of the NOMAD platform.
Abstract
This deliverable presents deployment of NOMAD middleware to
enable seamless services provision. In this respect it
presents an overall architecture including diverse
requirements related to all components in the service
provision value chain based on business modeling analysis
conducted under WP6. Further the document reports the results
from the analysis done on the effects of mobility on said
architecture. Examples of the mobility effects on terminals,
network architecture, mobile systems and functionalities such
as QoS, Security and privacy are discussed.
Abstract
This report describes the results of the trials activities
executed in order to demonstrate, validate and assess the
results of the NOMAD system. It covers the description of the
trials conducted in Helsinki and Bern/Basel and presents the
results of these experiments. The three usage scenarios
designed for capturing the end-user reactions (described in
detail in D4.2 Report on NOMAD Demonstration Scenarios and
Development) were implemented in the trial sites and the
results analysed to measure the user acceptance of the NOMAD
system. The test results are promising but they also indicate
that some design adjustments will be necessary.
This report concentrates mainly on user and usability issues.
Technical adequacy is discussed in D5.1 Report on NOMAD
Technical Adequacy Evaluation and actual trial process is
described in detail in D4.3 Report on NOMAD Pilot Projects.
